Revell Monogram BMW 320i - brass chassied

Postby VTECFOUR » Thu Sep 01, 2016 5:52 pm

Been having fun re-chassising existing cars. My modified Revell Monogram BMW 320i purchased from Pendle Slot years ago never ran well, so let's see if a brass chassis will help.

The modelling takes much longer than building a chassis for me so this is nice relief.

I hear you Dan, that was my take on it as well. I will always use an existing painted and detailed body if I can.

There is now no doubt, you will have a fast brass chassis car for every class we race at the GVSCC. There goes my constructor's championship, eh?

I need to do something like this to mine. Really like the car, it just has never run well either

That'll make it go. I can't do brass so I jammed a Sideways Capri chassis under mine a couple of years ago and it goes good. I've just been given another one but now i can use a Sideways Beemer chassis instead if they have the same wheelbase.

Could possibly be lowered at the front but always wary of tire rub.

Runs well with a planted feel and good spunk even at a hefty 114 grams.
