Sprayed Tamiya Italian Red.

Shows much deeper and bright in person.

Paint detailing and decals next.

Pretty much done.

I like the windscreen in body color but can paint it black later or install a clear one that I vacu formed on Luf's machine. The decals are simple and to a minimum that suits me. Interior was made from Evergreen sheet styrene with my standard driver figure of unknown origin. Rollbar was bent from 1/16" aluminum tube. Motor detail came from a Monogram McLaren 6A. Wheel inserts are paint detailed Slot It Matra front ones.

Chassis turned out well for just enough body clearance for rock and roll.

Some more paint detail and exhaust pipes and we're done. I think it's my best scratch built to date from a performance and modelling standpoint.

On to another project.

Looks great! I really like the silver rocker panels; sets the rest of the body off very nicely.

Wow, what a great car!

I have mine to the running stage with a sidewinder monocoque chassis. I call it a monocoque chassis as the D3D sidewinder 050 pod forms the back end of the chassis with a brass front end tightly screwed to the pod. I have built like this before but always with a flexible central pan. I can add the flex later if necessary.

I like the painted windscreen idea, but I cut mine out, so will be forced to use the clear one.

When I googled this car, the best looking livery was the one you did, and I intend to use the same colour scheme, although yours will look much much better than mine.

Is the Porsche next up?

Cheers,

Keith
