1962 Lotus 24!

I received an incredible gift from my friend, Ken W. that goes by Moose. I am not sure how I won something better than the lottery, but it must be all that clean living...

Ken has been one of the top finishers in the VRAA races for longer than I can remember. The VRAA celebrates open-wheel Grand Prix cars and changes yearly.

Ken built this gorgeous Lotus 24 for the 2009/2010 VRAA, that while it did not finish 1st (it placed 4th overall in points) it did win the Concurs event for this year! When you look at this you will see why! The detail on the car is incredible.

So, how does it drive? Like a dream! Quiet, smooth, balanced. Light brakes and just a joy to run laps with - and I've done plenty in the past two evenings!

Ken's only instructions to me was that it "get exercised every once in a while." Not a problem!!!
