I catch smallmouth almost year round. This was a trout habitat area and the water level is too low to fish. It is a natural spring fed creek and when the water ir right you can hook a brownie big as a Buick.

Ya know, if you take me and Dave fishing at the same time, you can completely disappear behind us! They'll send a search party.

Meanwhile, it was just about a hundred miles south of where you are that we used to have our canoe runs which always included a trout breakfast-- caught them on red salmon eggs on 1/16th oz. white grub spinners on ultralight tackle while laid out in the bottom of the canoes, sippin' Olympia at 7am. Those were the days...
