I would image so yes? Fairly certain that they are going to make plenty of them just for that purpose.

What do I race my current Monte's against? Other Monte's :)

Hopefully they offer them in 12 colors like the series and just provide fantasy sticker sheets for the names! (that way you can change it up if you run them in a series, and makes it easy to make and label your own, etc)
I know I would like to own the full set of 12! :D

It would be interesting/beneficial to have tooling made to where a simple insert change could result in either a Camaro or Pontiac Trans Am body...hmmmm? Just a minor front fascia change and maybe the rear depending on detail level is all that's required. That could open up the possibility to produce a few SCCA Trans Am series liveries. Might not be able to replicate some of the SCCA body side modifications but I'd argue you could make desirable liveries without those details. Check out the 1984 Huffaker Racing STP Son of a Gun! Trans Am race car.

I think Scalextric/Hornby produced a 80's Pontiac Trans Am in the past too, perhaps that tooling still exists? Nope nix that, I just found some images and that body was way too toy like.

Where I race these will be legal tender for one of our Nascar and stockers classes, but on what side of the line it falls between historic and modern will be interesting. Here's hoping they're not a Stateside only release.
