Nascar racing for real

Last nite's truck race was a crash fest with only 10 running at the end.

Infinity practice looked pretty good yesterday, they ran 2 wide, 10 deep and the cars looked really racy. Today they have run single file up till now with 20 laps to go. One long train of cars, no passing.

Sad, I don't care about much of Nascar anymore, but still enjoy Daytona when they can run 2 and 3 wide and have a different leader every lap. It's amazing that with all the engineering and past history to look at, they can't design a raceable car. Might also explain why they have nobody int he stands, which have all have less seats than they used.

The clash was on last week end, not many finished thanks to #48
Single car qualifying for the front row last weekend, two of Hendricks bow ties captured the front row
Thursday nite the Dual 125's for starting spots... again #48 needed to hit someone :-)

Well how about that!!!! No wrecks in the Xfinity race. No one wanted to get aggressive and make the second line work. Now I wonder what tomorrow will look like with 10 to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The trucks provided the best show the way they move around at speed. Up until the first big one it had me on the edge knowing sooner or later a flaw would appear in the practically syncopated motion of pickups at 190 mph. Only 9 finished, congratulations to Austin Hill in the only Tundra left running, with Grant Enfinger 2nd in a Ford and Ross Chastain 3rd in a Chevy. The #6 Chevy of Angela Ruch deserves honorable mention for finishing 9th on the lead lap. Also Natalie Decker being pulled out the window with her Toyota on fire in the pits was exciting, being overcome with emotion they showed her crying because she only made 1 lap when debris took out her right front but she bounced back for a short interview. Did you catch Harrison Burton in the KBM #18.
Lot's of talent in that race last night, good show!

Xfinity not so much. Chase Elliott wanted to go but couldn't get anyone to go with him.
Tomorrow things will be different. Looking forward to seeing more lead changes and racing for position as the 'stages' have really elevated the level of competition throughout the race. Good stuff!
