Thunder Slot McLaren M6A White Kit

Well, I was wrong about Thunder Slot producing a McLeagle. It looks like the wing included in the kit is meant for another livery.

Despite any criticism that may be forthcoming from certain critics I will be buying at least one of these cars. I knew coming into this that the car wouldn't be an exact scale model just as the Lola isn't. I'm glad it has been designed to be a competitive classic slot car and not a shelf queen.

I agree with you Modlerbob. I do not see these cars as "models". What I really like is how competitive they are with a minimal amount of tuning.
So far I have bought the whitekit of each of the Thunderslot models and I have been enjoying building and racing them.

The 1/24 1966 produced McLaren Elva MK1 slot body is still available from Tamiya and contains, I believe to be, the correct 4 spoke wheel inserts. They are 12.9mm in diameter, if that helps anyone.

FWIW

The Tamiya 1/24 inserts fit in a Scalextric 1/32 15.8mm od x 9.6 mm wide x 13.3 mm ID wheel.
