The C7 Corvette tires from PG [29148] do fit the 1/24 Ford GT. I measured the rims on both cars and the C7 wheel is about .1mm taller and the rib is about .1mm wider than the GT wheel [not much at all]. I put the PG tires on the GT wheel and they fit quite well. If you hold one wheel on the axle firmly and twist, the PG tire on the opposite wheel will turn ever so slightly on the rim. If glued there should be no issue at all. If you have a rim that needs to be trued a bit it might be an issue, but the wheels on my cars are pretty good.
Gotta give an attaboy to Carrera for this.Their wheels have gotten a lot better. Also, I have noticed that the newer 1/24 cars have almost no side to side axle play.
On the Ford GT that I have tested,I pulled the rear magnet and the car runs so good on my Carrera track with stock tires that I am not even going to change it to urethanes. Even I have a hard time getting it to deslot :D . I haven't ran the second car yet, and hopefully it will be as good the first. Also there are no front ride height issues with the 1/24 car. Definitely one of my best driving cars if not the best. Most of my other cars have PG urethanes.
