Pioneer-Scalextric-Falcon

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Fri Jun 02, 2017 12:20 pm

So the man behind Fly starts another brand called Falcon and these are coming. Not sure of any dealer over here bringing them in, so check with your favorite. Basically looks like a car to use the old Fly 908 chassis to me.

The pricing is varied too, so shop smart.

Pioneer is releasing twin packs of Mustangs/Camaros. Check your local for pricing/availability.

Scalextric has a few coming, one of the main stars is this one:

As usual, support your local/favorite dealer and ask them for more precise pricing and arrival times.

Thanks Mike, appreciate that. I wasn't all that excited about them, but after thinking on it a little, might be fun to have another "Fly Classic".

Thanks Rich. Looks like some improvements have been attempted.

Yes Mike, thanks. I'll pre-order one once you get a listing. I read that the pricing is already odd with none of them being the same. We shall see.

I'm with Harry.

We don't plan on carrying them. The cost will most likely exceed the desire to buy. I believe they will be in the $80-$100 range.

It sure looks identical to the "swing pod" that Fly had. I loved them, though others didn't. I even got Bruce to get me a bagful of the pods and I use them on scratchbuilt chassis. That hillclimber VW I did for Bob's fun run was one of those pods, and it held a record for a while.
