I've been seeing photos from "Slottus" for months now about this project.. the car is spectacular... I cannot wait to see it in person.

Strange thing about that Dave, at Lemans the Corvette was given added weight to allow the Ford GT to be on a parity . Although it was based on test and quali times , some say the Ford was sandbagging for the advantage. And as far as noise and your chest vibrating, it was American muscle that was loudest and proudest.

I like just about all the GT Cars, but the Ford GT and the Corvette have been my all time Favorites
I'm hoping you build a few boatloads of GT40's there going to fly off the shelves for sure.
Bulky, The Corvette has a big killer engine, Independent suspension just a cool car, the history tells all
just like the GT40's history, wiw win for Carrera and the buyers of these great cars.

I saw the street version of the Ford GT at last year's New Youk Auto Show, in fact they had one the year before that. I'm not sure that there is any room in that car for more than a little soft luggage, so it is hardly a practical street machine, if that would matter at all to anyone with enough dough to afford one. I think that I saw an article that these cars are now being offered for sale, so at the time of the last LeMans race they had to be given an exemption to run as GTs.

I've heard the first gens aren't offered for sale, so to speak, but only offered for purchase to those who made "the list". I have a friend who owns TWO GT's and even with his letter to Ford and a board member on his behalf, was not able to purchase one (last I heard from him when I asked 1 month ago..haven't asked since, since he was understandably mad as hell at Ford for giving places in line to rappers, celebs, and people who have never supported Ford). He did say Jay Leno got one, and I did see it in the background of his show. ;)
