I was seriously thinking about racing in this race, but after :D just seeing the pictures :D of Smokeio's cars, I :D knew I didn't stand a :D chance of winning. :lol: I'm sorry, even I can't keep a straight face telling this one. :lol: :laughing-rolling:

I just hope they didn't scare Dennis from coming. :lol:

Bob and I are planning on coming up Saturday morning. Bob wants to run in the vintage race and I just want to get on everyone's nerves. :lol:

I will be there, Smokeio is not scary enough to dissuade me from any type of racing, even at his wimpy voltage and boob tires.

What time does the store open Friday morning? I fly in Thursday night so I will be ready to go early.

My plan is to have the store open at 9:00. I need to make sure I have it covered but it shouldn't be a problem.

My wife does tell me every time I'm going to a race that I look scary in my bowling shirt so this isn't the first time I've heard I'm scary. The tires I don't understand. Silicone is my favorite material. :D

Dennis, What time are you getting in on Thursday? We'll be there around 7:00 PM.

My flight is scheduled to arrive in Detroit at 3:45pm. I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Wixom, so I will got there first to check in. Then depending on the time and the weather and the store hours, I might go to the Raceway if that's where others will be.

Is there a good place to meet for breakfast on Friday morning?

There's a great little restaurant about a hundred yards down from the raceway across the street. Maybe Rob can chime in here with a little more info.

Dennis, I can tell you from experience just order a "half breakfast". Rob advised us to order a half breakfast but we didn't do it. I ate so much I had to get the waitress to burp me before I left. :lol:

The bad news is, Bob can't make it to the race so I won't be there either.
