Slot.it News - New Pod/HRS2 Change

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Tue Apr 26, 2016 7:52 am

FROM SLOT.IT
We would like to inform you that CH70 motor mount is out of production, and it will be replaced by the new:

Image

CH110 Inline reverse motor mount 0.5mm offset (without tab)

The new CH110 motor mount is going to be the standard motor mount for DTM cars.
It is in principle exactly like the previous CH70, which it now replaces. The only difference between CH110 and CH70 is the removal of the small tab, on the right side of the motor mount, which is used to fill the gap in the chassis where normally a sidewinder motor mount would fit.

Over time this will also apply to all inline motor mounts.
For your information, in the near future Slot.it inline Gr.C models may still use part CH70 for a short while.

The car chassis for any Gr.C models will NOT change. i.e. all Gr.C models will remain compatible with sidewinder motor pods as well as inline (box stock) and angled motors, as usual. In this case, the gap between the motor bracket and the chassis of the model will be closed by modifying part n. CH79 (chassis gap filler) accordingly.
Gr.C car chassis will not change.

Also CH109 will include the new CH110.
New code CH109b will be available in about 10 days.

It's just a new pod mold that replaces the old.

I have maybe a half dozen inline pods that I have cut the side tab off of in oder to simplify a brass inline chassis. It was easy to cut off, but now we won't have to.

Good news,

Yep, I get a new number in a couple of weeks but it'll still be the same old thing
