Well Steve you had you Cuda running quite well with a stock chassis last year. Surprised me to see you switch to a Chevy. But you're sitting in 2nd with it so whose to say what that Cuda would have done this year. Now is that Camaro on a stock chassis or a podded one.

I would love to see a chassis for the Ninco Jag and or Corvette body. I know that you do the Ferrari and Alfa but the 62 and older sports cars seem under represented.

How about chassis for those lead sled Carrera 1/24 cars? Make one that uses BRM compnents and I think you might sell a few.

Couldn't get the Cuda to run as well as the Camaro.
It is a CG chassis.

Olifer Q & A

Postby olifer.pt » Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:10 am

Once again, thank you all for your feedback, questions and suggestions, let's see if we can answer everything:

The Ninco Classic range is certainly in our plans, although some models are trickier than others to do. I'd say there's a big chance we'll do the Corvette and a slimmer possibility to the Jaguar, as the chassis includes a lot from the body, but who knows...

Chassis for 1/24 models would be interesting but might also be expensive to print. If we can find a balance, it could be done. Any favorite models?

We owned a slot shop and club for about 15 years, so we have lots of experience to start with, but as it has closed with the crisis in Portugal, we now try to test our products in different tracks at local clubs, so we can see how they behave on different conditions.

Recently I won a Fly Marcos in a raffle, those have a front motor and slightly wobbly stub axles, so they are not the best runners. I needed an excuse to try a printed chassis and this was it. I ordered the Olifer chassis that is made for the Fly Marcos and it was delivered on the promised date. The chassis was just about perfect as received. The only changes that I made were to shave the bottom of the guide flag holder and to sand the sides of the chassis a little. The car turned out to be much lighter than our rules permit, I did add some weight to the motor pod for a start, but the car was still a bit light when I tested it last night. The car looks to be a good runner, but it wants to tip at the limit, enough lead low in the chassis to bring the car to the minimum weight limit should fix that.

The Marcos is looking really good! And it should now have a performance that matches its looks :auto-driving:
