Thanks Harry!
It's not a car I would have looked at right away either..... I got an email a while back (in dutch) - and once translated - There was the usual request to make a chassis - but also a little explanation that he wanted at least 30 of them for his club to start a racing series....
We went back and forth and he has put together a very cool idea.... The club will do 6 races for points etc... The racer owns the Ninco Seat body and basically at each race - you pick your own chassis that the club owns... never the same chassis twice. Cars are basically sealed and the best "driver" wins. You take your "street" slot car to the track and switch it over to a race car
Everybody will have a different take on the concept - but to me - it lets those of us who either don't have time, knowledge or interest in tuning cars - race and be competitive. It may attract more people to the hobby - or bring back the ones that were not having fun..... Maybe get kids hooked on showing up 6 times to race....... (people may hate the whole thing - who knows). It was an oddball car to do - but in the end has a bigger purpose....... So yea - Ninco Seat....... Weird but wonderful idea...
The club has a dedicated color orange (dutch after all....) and the club name on the chassis itself..... It is the pilot project to something bigger perhaps....
