Twas the night before MI 24hr practice
The cars where all packed, waiting to test

Some drivers where enroute and others relaxed
But everyone was definately stressed to the max

The hours of labor would soon be put to the test
Each car was hoping to be the teams best

The proud builders smiled with glee
as their team drivers raced them with glee

Pick me! Pick me! Said each little car
Each one showed off how it was best by far

The hours of practice quickly ticked away
As each team scrambled throughout the day

At last a car was chosen by each members vote
But the stress of the bulders was nothing to boast

Did I happen to oil that bushing, tighten a screw
Check a motor or did I lose a screw

At last the lights went out over the track
And each team realized next was the big event

They all went for dinner or straight to their rooms
But soon would be the time for a short little snooze

We won! We won! Went through each head
Each dreamed their team won the event

Congrats to the SCC team on their win in the MI-24! And the same goes for all of the other teams; it's a challenge just building a car that will not break down over 24 hours of continuous racing - go ahead, ask me how I know...…. :lol:

A special "atta boy" to my buddy and fellow local racer Alwyn "Superslab" for his contribution to the winning SCC team! Both the Tourist Trophy and the 24hr award within 8 months, nice job!

A special shout out to Mike "Smokeio" for preparing another excellent weapon, great to see our Group 5 proxy family kicking some booty!

Was watching your race via video stream and must congratulate all those involved. Would love to learn more about what went into the creations. Also what caught my attention was the pace of SCC during the darkness hours. My question was what what did they use for lighting. Seemed brighter than the rest.

I have not had a problem with driving in the dark, except when the cars get bunched up, in that case it helps if your car has lights that look different. When you race in the dark you would be less likely to be distracted by people walking around, etc..
