I would have thought the lack of a chassis magnet was the problem.

Mike, our problem is we have a whole bunch of un-used parts and if we don't use them up by the end of the year our budget will be cut for next year.

Where in the world do you get a 35t spur gear?

Take a 36 tooth spur, let Mike wall the car a few times in the high bank until you lose a tooth.

The Quick Slicks team used a Slot.It wood guide?!?!?!?!? :o
No wonder I'm no longer the lone 5 hand guy!!!
All the new technology we have with forward leading guides, and they used the outdated "wood" guide....Jeeesh!!!
If they'd a only used a more modern technology advanced guide, they surely would have won the race going away... 8-)
I'm amazed they were even able to challenge for the win, but that just shows the talent of those guys on that team... :D

I really hate to say this but I agree with Mike, I think n some cases a longer guide might be an advantage but I think the new long guide flags may have as big of a disadvantage as advantage. We noticed that you had to be more aware when fixing a desloted car especially in a corner.
