The first class is the individual Carrera Gt/DTM; the rules include either stock rear wheels or after market 17x10mm with appropriate size Quick Slicks (truing/gluing optional) and the spec'd Piranha 21.5 motor (or stock Carrera motor). Guide flag can be upgraded or stock, the front wheels can be upgraded or stock. Stock body, interior and chassis. Any eletronic chips and/or lights may be removed and weight may be added inside the body. Time on track will be at least 10 minutes (2.5 minutes/lane) but may be extended to 12 minutes (3 minutes/lane) if we have less than 9 racers participating.
The second class is a USA/European Challange using Classic Series Slot.It cars. The American team will be running either the Gt40, Chapparal or McLaren and the European team will run either the Alfa, Matra or Ferrari. Each member will run the car of their choice depending on which team they represent. The top four places of each team will accumulate points for their particular team. Any Slot.I t parts may be used. Quick Slicks will be the spec'd tire. Any CB or Slot.It wheels may be used as long as the wheel/tire combination does not exceed the width of the body.
Here are the results from the first week:
The American team took 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th for a point total of 320. The European team took 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th for a point total of 330.
Our goal is not only to provide a fun and competitive race among individuals but also to encourage the faster members of each team to help the slower team members to become more competitive through advice and technique so their team will accumulate the most points.
