I'm hoping in between waiting for glue to dry on the RSR Porsche tonight to make more progress on the "summary" of the race - but there was definitely some interesting twists in qualifying verses racing! A couple of the cars were NOTABLY easier to hold closer to the limit than others, moving what looked to be "slower" cars up the finishing field.
It will be interesting to see how the dynamics change when the other four lanes are run as the "tight" corners occur and notably different parts of the track and are different radii than the tight areas on the first four lanes.

I will say, that the track owner and a number of our local racers were pretty impressed with our little field of Mavericks! I heard lots of positive comments and I expect to see a couple of them stop in to check out the forum as well. :)
(not to mention it has spurred discussion about the creation of a new class of racing at the track using rules very similar to the Mav Proxy rules - which should prove to be very interesting if it takes off!)

I am SO glad hosting was a REQUIREMENT of participating in this proxy! Even though it was a bit of a learning curve for Aronn and I (and we are still working on a work around for the uStream) - we and those that helped us, had a lot of fun running the field and getting to see everyone's creation up close!

OK boys, the next Maverick race is slated for this Wednesday, late afternoon with qualifying to start around 3:30 pm eastern. Once the qualifying round has completed the field will be set to start the second round of racing for the TuscoTodd & APalmer team racing rounds. This will be on the same track as the first round 2 weeks ago, except we will be running the cars on the inner 4 lanes which is comprised of much tighter turns, black lane being the tightest of all. We will attempt another go with ustream because we all are excited to watch the Apalmer Maverick pull up the rear. Hey someones gotta be there. I will keep the board posted when the day gets here.

Quick update, Ustream trial around 3pm (mere 45 min from now) :) Hopefully we will have better luck than last time. If not.... try your best to imagine the cars going around the track... :D.

Well to another disappointment from our end.... the bandwidth is alittle under par for broadcasting. .. and verizon did away with unlimited data plans...... bummed :-(

Qualifying has completed with some suprising turnouts... racing has started and we are about half way through. .. definitely a new run wi th these cars on this set of lanes
