Hello
As some of you know I decided to re start the VII SRS Season after my track rebuilt.
The teams involved were contacted via PM , so may be aware that I decided to begin again whith the normal racing format and new cars, so races done till now will be invalid. I did a bad choice of cars and format, my track support collapsed, etc, so a new fresh start I think will be better. Anyway this Series are only for fun so it must be no problem about it.

How it works:

There will be 10 teams competing over 9 races on a league form. Ater that the 4 top quallyfiers will pass to the Finals. (If interested, please take a look at VII SRS Season, somewhere thus forum).

So you only have to choose a car, sign up and you´re in!
Some feedback are expected after races , ´cause it´s half the fun.
The only pourpouse it´s to have fun, no prices. no cash only the prestige to win fellow drivers of the forum!

Teams confirmed;

Racing Bandit
CJR
Slothead
TuscoTodd
Pepsi62
Z-carfan
hksk25
dw5555
Vonsirius

So we´re looking for 1 more team to join.

This Season will be Formula1 1970-71 themed.

The Cars.

#4 Ferrari 312 B2 (1970) The early 1970s saw the return of success to the Scuderia; the unlucky Chris Amon left, while Jacky Ickx returned and was joined by Clay Regazzoni. Under the direction of Mauro Forghieri, Ferrari developed a new Flat-12 engine, colloquially referred to as a "boxer" (although not a real boxer engine), giving a lower center of gravity and a clear airflow beneath the rear wing. This car was driven by Jackie Ickx

#5 Lotus 56b Pratt & Whitney (1971). A turbine powered car Emerson Fittipaldi drove at Italian GP

#6 Ferrari Sigma (1970) The Sigma was a Formula One show car built in 1969 by Pininfarina. It was based on the Ferrari 312 .This car was to be a "future car", showing mainly new safety standards. In our little 1:32 world it was racing the 1970 season drove by Ignacio Giunti.

#8 BRM P160 (1971) Yardley Team BRM´s car V12 engined. Car drove by Pedro Rodriguez the same year he was killed in a sports cars race.

#9 Scalletti Arrow (1971) It`s a 1971 Scalextric special that does not represent any particular car. For us will be an Italo-American Scalletti Racing Team car. Mr, Scalletti was a former Ferrari engeenier that after some arguments whith Enzo Ferrari, left the Scuderia and formed his own American based F1 Team, The car was drove by Clay Regazzoni.

#11 Tyrrell001 (1971) When Ken Tyrrell, the team's owner, became disenchanted with the poor performance of March chassis during the 1970 season, he decided he would design and build his own car. He employed Derek Gardner to design it in secret at his own house. The car competed in five Grands Prix retiring on four occasions and achieving one second-place finish. This car was Peter Revson raced.

#15 BRM P153 (1970) Powered by their own V12 engine,, best result was second at 1970 Belgian GP (Rodriguez).Number 15 car drove by George Eaton.

#17 Tyrrell 001 (1971) Jackie Steward.

#27 McLaren M7C (Ecurie Bonier) (1970) Jo Bonier, A car acquired from Team Surtess.

#41 March 711-Alfa Romeo. Nani Galli (1971) The car's aerodynamic design was the work of Frank Costin. The radiators were at the car's hips, allowing a smooth, rounded nose, topped by a very distinctive elliptic "unicorn" or "tea tray" front wing. The car's aerodynamic design was the work of Frank Costin, the front wing proved effective in clean air but gave unpredictable handling when behind other cars.

So we wanna race historic F! cars, so please make your choice and feel free to ask if in doubt.
As usual I will take the last car left.

You will notice that cars are not always historicaly accurate, sometimes suggesting more than reproducing. I have limitated skills, but it´s enought for fun, at least for me!

So gentelmen, choose your cars and prepared yourself for a new exciting Season!!!!

Slothead Racing selects.......

#17 Tyrrell 001 (1971) Jackie Steward!

Furthermore, we've auctioned off our neighbor's pet's favorite chew toy and used the funds to obtain this trophy, which is being donated to be awarded to the SRS season VIII championship team.

So while we do this mostly for fun, now there's also a 100% gold (color) trophy (image) to be claimed. Let's go racing!

Slothead Racing chose the #17 Tyrrell with Jackie Stewart. BUT, we'd be equally happy with the #11 driven by Peter Revson. He was quite the ladies man, so win or lose we're guaranteed to have a fun season.

We'll go along with whatever the T-County Lug Nuts want to do.
