Printed Porsche Proxy (PPP)??

I’m obviously in.....car and track......I would go for 18k motors (we all a few laying around), no silicon, and 10 volts. Not locked in to this ...just my thoughts. Mainly would just like to see this proxy go.

So.....it looks like we have enough interest to make this go...and I know there are several other printers out there......

A couple questions:
1) Do folks prefer the 18k vs 14k motor for these cars? Does everyone have a 14k motor or are the 18k choices easier?

2) Do you want open tire choice, or do we look at non-silicone only? The narrower wheels make finding tires slightly more challenging.... although I think 15x8s should fit?

I vote for 18k motors....no silicone....10 volts. We run a 50’s class this way and it is one of the most fun classes.

I don’t have any parts/motors/tires laying around and will have to buy whatever is chosen so it doesn’t matter to me.

Yes, the Jack Rabbit would be fine.

As for printed guides, they can break, especially with brass chassis. I have also broken them on plastic cars but only Slot.it at full speed and a sharp 90 degree corner. So they are actually pretty tough....but I have lots of guides for replacement. I don't think it's going to be a problem....

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll print up a few guides and check them out. Are you printing them with PLA, or something stronger like PETG or ABS? I haven't swiped out my hot end for an all metal one from Microswiss to print those materials but might in the future.

I use PLA because I don't have a heated bed. With a heated bed you can try PETG or ABS?

I have the Microswiss hot end, great stuff and easy to install.

Printer....Qidi Tech - x one (2)

I use pla printed guides on everything now. Never had a break.

Printer= Dremel 3D20 with a Microswiss hot end, Simplify 3D as the slicer.

I mostly use TinkerCAD, I am a bit frightened by Meshmixer so far.
