Thanks for the supreme efforts by the powers what be. The Donors are pleased with their mid-field performance. Seems Helens is still struggling a bit with her Italian. Seeing what he's up against, he's starting to look a little concerned himself.

Well fought race for the top spot. :text-bravo: Things are not looking good if I can't even do well with a home track advantage. Just couldn't get this Ford to hook up. Don't know who to blame the drivers for being so aggressive or the mechanics for not tuning it enough. :angry-tappingfoot:

Congrats to the Thunda guys/gals. They obviously used the bye to their advantage and were too well prepared to overcome. Slothead Racing acknowledges mechanical issues are a part of racing and proudly takes it's 2nd place position on the podium.

The next race will be at Shelby-Hendrix Speedway, with track and car news forthcoming in a few days.

two tire problems and a brake failure, it shows what a hard track Saginaw Valley it´s
Despite having some issues, Slothead was clearly faster than us, so it´s a well deserved victory in our races
Hope we can perform better in Shellby-Hendrix.

The Ohio boy thought they were in for some fun - getting an opportunity to pilot the red white and blue 458! That definitely seemed to be the case as the driver took to the car quickly and was matching quick lap times lap after lap with the west coast crew! Then out of nowhere, the throttle quit working - leaving the car only able to idle it's way into the pits - handing the race 1 win to the Oregon team. With the throttle servo fixed, our driver was hard on it for race 2, turning quicker times than the west coast team - but a shift linkage gremlin temporarily popped its head up - putting out team chasing tail lights and ultimately knocking our team out of contention with back to back losses. :(
In spite of the issues, our driver still left the car parked in the garage with a smile on his face... Not sure if that was due to the overall "driving experience" or if it was due to his "stress relieving doughnut" he did at the end of pit lane for some fans before bringing the car back to the garage - but either way, he walked out of the garage with a pretty big grin...
On to the next venue!

Well, what can I say, having 2 bye runs into the semi finals sure helps big time, plenty of practice and tuning time, scraping through the first semi with a hard fought win, then getting through the final in straight sets, Thanks to the event organisers
Off to a great start to the season and looking forward to the next round

The Bandit and his team had a blast and are very happy to have made it to the semi-finals considering their dismal results in the previous round. The Bandit was seen grinning ear-to-ear after each time he set sub 10 times. "Apparently all it takes for him to have a good time is to go faster than his previous effort." Mrs Bandit was heard to say.

Hello all. Things have been quiet PR wise, but activity has been ongoing at Shelby-Hendrix Speedway in preparation for SIP 2019 race # 3, Three new cars were added to the Can-Am stable and all cars have undergone extensive qualification runs. Several possible fields emerged to be used for race 3, and management is deliberating which way to go. The goal is to have a competitive field while also offering a variety of car types and makes for teams to choose from.

When the cars are announced selection will be in reverse order by points, starting with Dave's Dollies through Downundathunda, with Slothead Racing taking the remaining car. The details of race management will also be stated when the cars are selected.

Now that a little time has elapsed and cooler heads have prevailed I have decided to make a crew chief change. A little unusual mid season but something has to be done. I'm sure you've all heard of the Martini Race team. Well this guy is their parts chaser from the back up team. Getting all those parts I'm sure he knows what's goin on with a race car. Drivers Simone and Madison took a mini vacation down on the warm Florida beaches and are now back and refreshed. We are ready to go. :auto-driving:

On a related note I found Helen having a very in depth discussion with Kary the other day regarding relative permeability, with I must admit is a fascinating subject.

Helen would state her case this way and that. Kary would tilt her head this way then that. Now and then she would offer a "meow". That's really about the best Kary Kitty can offer a conversation, nevertheless Helen stayed quite engaged.

No word on the outcome...

To quote the wise sage Mose Allison: "I don't worry about a thing 'cuz I know nothin's going to be alright".
