VII Solo Racing Season. FINALS

While we didn't make it into the finals, the weather of the last two races definitely helped the black and gold team finish strong!
The crew will be holding their heads high as they toast the teams in the finals tonight at the bar!

We let Carli run this race and she did not disappoint running a clean race. Were letting Simone continue to recuperate for the upcoming finals. Good luck to all.

A great season with great racing and reporting! The Ohio team will definitely be reviewing their notes in prep for the next season, but after going from being a last place marker in the Mini, to finish mid-pack in something that is brutally quicker wasn't a bad transition for our driver - who is already asking if an announcement has been made as to what the next series will be?

[Racing Bandit]

Even though the Bandit didn't make it into the Semi-finals, he was seen grinning ear-to-ear after removing his helmet. The Bandit Team was very pleased to have had a chance to make the Semis and are looking forward to next season. Bandit told several reporters later that although he wished he had ran better the last several races, he was pleased with the progress being shown by the team over the last few seasons. He went on to praise the Organizers, the other teams and mostly the fans who attended the races.

The UOP (Universal Oil Products) Shadow team thanks the organizers, fans, and competitors for a great season and championship round. We're proud to be on the podium and our fires are stoked to do even better in the future. We also admit a misunderstanding on the team may have limited our chances to win it all. When our lovesick chief mechanic saw our driver chatting it up with the Playboy umbrella girl after the first race he was very jealous and did not put his full effort into tuning the car for the next race. It turns out our driver was actually putting in a good word with the umbrella girl for our mechanic, and when this was revealed he tearfully confessed to the team regarding his jealous act. We were going to sack him after the final ceremonies but then our driver said things worked out perfectly because he hit it off with the gal holding the 3rd place banner and the four of them are headed to the Rivera together for a holiday. Slothead Racing is united again!

Thankfully, the tabloids are eating all this romance drama up and providing even more publicity for our sponsor, team, and this series.

Will wonders ever cease. Rookie season, rookie team and yet we all seemed to pull it together. :banana-dance: Simone our lead driver will be back for a second season but Carli just can't keep it together for any length of time. I last saw her trying to catch up with the Slothead boyz in the Rivera for a little Ménage de Cinq. Well fought race and season. Many thanks to all involved this year and looking forward to another season with some new sponsors on board.
