SIP 2017/18 CANCELED

Postby vonsirius » Sat Nov 11, 2017 12:43 am

A new Proxy it´s about to begin.
It will be an international one but this time slighty different.
It´s called Solo International Proxy.
During ten rounds 12 teams will be battling each other to win the SIP Championship.

During each race the track´s owner will provide the cars and race them, so before each race teams must choose the cars, there´s few rules ,so you can drive, for example, an F1 car one race and a NASCAR car on the next.

Every track owner will be the Race Director of that race and is free to run the race as he will, on all against all format.

14points for first, 11 for second, 10 for third, 9 for fourth, and so on, nul for DNF.

Schedule

1st round Chappy´s track
2nd round BARC1´s track
3d round Slothead´s track
4th round Vonsirius´ track
5th round TuscoTodd´s track
6th round Chappy´s track
7th round BARC1´s track
8th round Slothead´s track
9th round Vonsirius´track
10th round TuscoTodd´s track

What you have to do?

Simply, just sign up and you are in!
Please, if in doubt, take a look at Slothead´s CanAm series or at Solo Racing Series somewhere in this forum to see how it works.
Anyway, feed back from teams would be expected whith a little" press note" after races, the idea it´s to take part not just lurking, it´s half the fun!

Most important rule;
That´s a friendly gentelmans´series, we must respect each Race Director decision. It´s just for fun!!!

The teams;

Chappy

BARC1

Slothead

TuscoTodd

CAT racing (Cesc and Vonsirius have created this team for this Series)

So seven teams wanted, sign up and welcome to SIP

Good Morning from Canfield Green , Home of the premier event in the SPI series.
I will soon be posting pictures of the track and of the Carrera DTM Cars available for the teams to choose from. We only have 5 teams signed up so far so still room for a few more. As we get nearer the start teams will have a choice of car for the series at Canfield Green. The series will then move on to Barcs track with different cars before returning for the 6th round to Canfield Green. So get ready to choose and think Mercedes , Audi, or BMW.
In the meantime get psyched up for this 10 round event.

Sounds good lads. At this stage you just need a team. We provide cars at each track and also the tracks . All you do is pick a car from those offered. It is a real laugh and natural rivalries develop.
Each track offers different cars.
Von please chime in here as we have 7 now. I can go up to 10 max.
Add Team Austin and Team PRT to our grids.
Cheers Bob

I am assuming the guys signing up want in on the whole series. I.e if you run at Canfield Green ,you run at Kleskun Hills as well.

For those unfamiliar to this, it is real simple. Create a fictional team, join in. Each track host will then present a paddock of cars. Your team chooses a car and then the hosts runs it with all the others.

Over a few races some of us started creating press releases with team thoughts and excuses as to why we did or didn't win. This is all about having fun.

For the track hosts it gives us a reason to run a bunch of our cars around and time them.

Word is we have ten teams on board. And Austin has offered to host a race - he can take one of my races if needed. I usually turn the heat off in the barn after the first week of January, so if race #8 comes around in February or March that would work out nicely.

The more people doing this the better.

For my race(s) I'll offer 10 1966-72 Le Mans type World Sportscars - 2 each for Ford GT, Ferrari 512, Porsche 917, Lola T70 Mk3B, and Chaparral 2F. Every team will have a partner running the same type of car. All of the cars will be Fly's except 2 MRRC Chaparrals. I'll post pictures of the cars the week before the 3rd race and let everyone select a car, I'll take the last one standing.

Team Slothead is in this for fun, but after things went sour two seasons in a row we had no choice but to bring an enforcer on board to keep the team in line.

Image Mr. Grump is our antidote to all the hotties other teams have as their spokespersons.

A good time will be had by all.

Hello,
Some changes at the series.

For managing reasons there will be 10 teams.

Points will be at follows;

12 to the first, 9 to the second, 8 to the third and so on, no points for DNF.

It will be 12 races.

Chappy's track ; round 1 and 7
BARC 1's track ; round 2 and 8
Slothead's track ; round 3 and 9
Vonsirius' track; round 4 and 10
Austin's track; round 5 and 11
TuscoTodd's track; round 6 and 12.

At the moment are 8 teams;

Chappy
BARC 1
Slothead
TuscoTodd
CAT Racing
Austin
PRT
Thundafromdownunda

So there are still room for two teams.

I'm sure the NASTE boys can manage this if there's room. We have cars and tracks.

It sounds like fun and we like fun.

Hello again,
More changes!

Finally it would be 14 races!

So the schedule it's at follows:

Chappy's track: round 1 and 8
BARC 1's track : round 2 and 9
Slothead's track : round 3 and 10
Kidvoltage's track: round 4 and 11
Vonsirius' track : round 5 and 12
Austin's track : round 6 and 13
TuscoTodd's track : round 7 and 14

There are 9 teams:

Chappy
BARC 1
Slothead
TuscoTodd
CAT Racing
Austin
PRT
Thundafromdownunda
The Oregon Donors

I think we must go on, so as soon as Chappy wants we can begin the Series.

Anyway, we still keep one place free , if some other team wants to join.

Good luck !

Still time for another team lads as i wont be starting here until after the 25th of Nov since i will be away in PA. I will post a Canfield Green SIP with pictures of the 10 cars and it is then first come first claim on the cars for the race with the Exception of Cesc and Von who have always taken last pick as original hosts. So to be fair Team Cat will get first choice.
All will be Carrera DTM with PG tires running on my 3 lane routed track.
Each car will run 2 mins in each lane and the final totals and 10ths will determine the winner.
