Lancia vs Lancia with both cars & teams tied for 2nd place - it makes no sense. Mrs. Grump has been dispatched to Lancia headquarters to demand the factory put all of it's support behind a single team - Slothead Racing! After Mrs. Grump and her trusty enforcer (rolling pin) set the factory guys straight we expect to begin our push for the championship.

BARC Racing Headquarters

The results continue to be positive and we are progressing. Only 3 points back of the cut off we are confident the team can string together the wins necessary to get us into the finals

The long break was hard on Lard and it took him some time to find his racing feet. By the second heat he had regained his form and got the BARC Porsche out front to split the heat.

We will take this as a positive sign and work hard to prepare for the next race

So the boy's were sitting around having a beer talking about how mighty Mike is holding that 7 point lead over us. Yes we moved from 7th to 4th but srill have that 7 point gap. So when we was talkin and searching for ideas, O
D Fred was looking at the bottom of his beer and said , i didnt know this was made in Mehico. At which time Barney said his seester was married to meester who used to do race engineering for the Panamericana races. So in less time tha a shot to the spitoon we had Chicarrello on the phone. Although a bit hard to u derstand Xhico is on his way up to give us some techno help . He said 7 points ees noteeng and he can elp us , just dont tell the seester where he is. So Deal made and its gonna be Chico and the men looking to gain those 7 meeeeesly points. Oh and Buck has a shadow now, seems the sheriff snuck by and dropped off one of Bucks little fellas. Buck seems happy though cept when the littleun chews on his ear. Need to find a name for him yet . Im sure it will come natural enough, i was thinking Piston was suitable as he has a habit already.
Well we have to go to the glades to meet up with Chico, catch up soon

BARC Racing Head Quarters.

For the BARC racing team it was more of the same from Lard. A Win and a loss will not do it at this stage of the season. If we plan on being in the final, Lard must put some consistent wins together, otherwise he will be eating fried chicken from the sidelines instead of racing for a BARC victory. It seems as if eating fried anything is this man's passion. The BARC Porsche just might not have the grunt to haul Lard Snow's butt around the track at a competitive speed.

While the Mini didn't win, the cheers from the crowd when it briefly took the lead made the entire team feel proud! So even while Team Mini was well outgunned on this round spirits remain high!

Postby Racing Bandit » Sun Jan 21, 2018 4:00 pm

Weir Razin (Team Manager for Bandit Racing) was overheard to have said in comments to a Weekly Racing Newspaper that covers Dirt Track racing in the North Central United States that was doing a 'Human Interest' story on the Bandit whom they had covered when he was racing Wing Sprints years ago stated:
"In response to your question as to why the Bandit came out of retirement after nearly 10 years, he was able to convince Mrs Bandit to let him!
She told him to get it out of his system once and for all. As to how things have been going this season, actually, we are surprised on how well we are doing. We have been 'out of the game' for a long time. Once we got going, it just seemed to come back to us. He still needs to remember to use the dang brakes! Do we want to win each time? Of course we do but we know that is not possible. When it comes right down to it, the main goal we have is just to have fun racing. And yes, when he rolled the Taureg in the first race you heard right. He was laughing and said 'THAT was fun'!! All Mrs Bandit said in response was 'Well, you know that it isn't the first time he rolled his car and it sure won't be the last time the way he drives!' As to the reason he rolled it, even he admits that he tried to carry too much speed into the corner waiting too late to apply the brakes. Heck, you have been covering guys like him for years, He has always driven his car to the limit so did you really expect him to change at this point in his life?!?!? {laughing}
Seriously though, he is learning what he can and can not do driving on pavement. He probably is harder on himself than I can be when he makes what he keeps saying are stupid rookie mistakes. Mrs B reminds him each time that he IS a rookie compared to the other drivers in the series. The Promoters and other teams have been really great to work with. As I said before, we are new to this sort of racing and have had a lot to learn in a short time. We feel that we have made progress and that hopefully we haven't inadvertently been a safety hazard while getting up to speed. Ok looks like the Bandit is here so now you can have a talk with him. I will wish you lots of luck! I am sure you remember how he was whenever you tried to talk to him seriously years ago."

Well, I seem to be fading into the sunset. After the tragedy, we had a surge, but the team has been unable to maintain it. I'm replacing ALL of the management. My driver has been put on notice, win or else! My axe is still sharp and looking for somewhere else to fall. :o
