Those who remember the Ford - Ferrari wars from the mid 60's will know what NYFAIM meant when it appeared on the back of the Ford Daytona Coupes the first year they challenged Ferrari. This first round of the current solo racing series suggests this year might be 'Next Year'.

For a change the BARC team has had some success at the Solo series. Ironically had the Porsche 550 not already been spoken for that is the car we would have chosen, but instead we were able to show it around the track in the first race

We are optimistic that our V8 powered AC Cobra will be able to maintain its race pace for the entire series. Beating the F1 champion to get started is as good as it gets in a first race. We feel at home competing in colors we are familiar with, and we are hoping we can put the McClaren fiasco behind us. The AC Cobra just feels right and our spirits are high.

It looks like we have some great competition in what is going to be one heck of a show.

Can't win them all....but we will die trying!!!!
New tires man, new tires. the team had an urgent meeting and CARacing decided to replace the current rubber with new rubber and not to run used rubber. We are confident it will do the trick. Great driving skilles to finish the race on finished tires!

Great stuff Von. That was brother against brother. Great first race for the little green car. A good clean, lube and tuning from SA did the trick for the first race. That little green monster might not be the quickest, but she is definately solid as a rock. Looking forward towards the next race.
