HRW Land Speed & Drag fun run II ?

Seems I read somewhere this was going to happen, Was just curious if we can agree and set the guidelines/rules soon, so builders can have ample time to assemble a car. don`t really need a run date, just guidelines.
I have some ideas but want to make sure I stay in the grey area... :lol:

Hopefully I can get in on this one this time around. I have 3 of the early 1/32 Monogram drag kits I'm trying to get reworked and casted. (Willys, Fiat, and Ford Screamer) Also have a couple of earlier Funny Car kits I'm working on also. Pics to come soon :D

Just thinking about the next LSR and Drag series. I would like to see one engine for LSR and for Drags. This would allow all the LSRs to compete together and all the dragsters to compete together. I know that in real drag racing there are different classes, and they race separately, but unless we got a lot more entries, it would be a lot more fun to all be able to race together.. That would mean more elimination rounds before a winner is declared, more rounds = more fun.

I would say one motor for the whole show, but the LSR cars are geared high for top end speed, and the dragsters geared low for a fast start. A Piranha would be a good all round motor, as the gearing would be up to the entrant. The two classes could still be run separately, but a run-off between the winners at the end would be fun.

DixonJohn - those bodies sound like VERY cool potentials! Look forward to seeing the pics!

Keith - We are going to a single motor format this year across the classes. We are finalizing some of the tweaks to the class requirements based on feedback / observations from last year and hope to have this formalized here shortly. (where did the time go this last month?!?)

Here is where they stand at the moment. excuse the pics as I'm using my phone and don't quite know how it all works. A couple more shots of primer and polishing and they should be ready to cast. Have a motor I'm working on for the Fiat also. The kit motor was missing a few pieces so I'm stealing one from my funny car kits.
