CanAm on the Targa is in the books.
The racing went well with only a couple of problems. One car lost and injector stack and I will carefully reattach it. Mark's Lola GT threw a body mount as we noticed that the washer that was soldered to the mounting arm has broken loose. My plan would be to repair it with a spot of Goop. Once dry it should hold for the rest of the proxy, and can be peeled off and the washer re-soldered once it is home. The car ran ok with the broken mount, but some Goop should help. Your call Mark.
The last was my plastic chassied #65. Bob reported some problems with it and I discovered the rear body post was totally broken off so the body was flopping around. We taped the body in place for the race, but I will glue the post back together before I send the cars on.
There were five of us at the race tonight, three local drivers, Ross, Ron and Dale. I did the timing and scoring and also marshalled, Luf took lots of video and also did some marshalling. We only used track calls if the shunt was far from a marshal or two or all cars were involved. Most marshalling was done with the clock running.
Now to the results. I couldn't find a listing of cars by drivers and now all the cars have names on the bottom, so this will be a simple one.
Place, Car # total laps.
1. #60 68.6
2. #59 68.0

2. #48 on lane one 23.4
3. #59 on lane two 22.9
The fastest lap of the evening was car #60 while running lane three with a lap of 7.015. I am not aware of anyone breaking into the 6's since Luf rebuilt the track, so this must be close to if not a track record. Well done Dale, who was driving in lane three.
OK that is it, for those of you who may have been waiting up to hear the results. You can go to bed now!
Thanks for letting us play with your cars.
Where to next?
