Hey, just looking at things... And maybe I missed it, but are these cars to be run non-magnetic or with the stock magnets... I assumed non-magnetic... But then could not find it anywhere in the guidelines.

Tuned original equipment, with the exception of tires and guides

I read this as magnets in, But taken it out is very easy. I don't care it just fun to see them all.

Austin, totally agree... And I probably only thought non-magnetic because that's how my local club races. I do see your logic there with including the magnet, which is why I am asking for some guudance

Guy's, I didn't mention the magnet because they have so little strength that it don't matter much. I am leaving them in,but the choice is yours. The cars will be run on steel rails though.

UM magnet. I think mine is already out of the car from a previous proxy. I'll see if I can find one that may be the original. I have a bunch of magnets stuck together in a box.

Austin That Logano Ford is looking good. Since I have a few weeks I'm tempted to get out the rattle can. I had planned to just send it as is with Artin decals. UM

Magnets, magnets. Who needs magnets? They don't work on wood.
Besides, the kids need all the weight they can get to hold the car down.
If you decide to race without magnets just remove it. No big deal.

Has the number 88 been used yet? If I paint it will be the #40 Coors Light Dodge. I noticed this car had nail polish on the front tires is this allowed? What about taking out the front axle movement Up and Down?

OK Artin motors I bought on Ebay are cranking 24-27,000 or they are burning up. I like winning but I can't even drive this thing on my track. I'm ordering a car or two from the professor today.

OK went the motor bible;
Artin "white endbell"
FC-130
13100
more common version tested 13,100 RPM/12v
Artin "white endbell"
FC-130
26200
less common version tested 26,200 RPM/12v
Artin "yellow endbell"
FC-130
24600
tested 24,600 RPM/12v

So I assume the cars come with the more common 13,100 RPM motor. I motors I got were both white and yellow end bells. Shaft is not as long as the stock motor so the pinion had to be replaced with a brass pinion. Who is the race coordinator? Would these higher RPM motors be illegal?

Aarold, Any tuning can be done on these cars. That includes axle movement, rear bushing lock down, glued motor, better guide and or braid, weight added, color changed, any number, etc. ANY tires, as long as they fit the Artin wheels and don't protrude past the wheel arches.
Must have:
Stock body, no mods, original wheels, original motor (no F1 cans) Artin chassis, Artin stocker interior, with roll bars and driver figure.
This race is to commemorate and celebrate the original Artin stocker series, and what was done to them nation wide by home racers.
hope this clears up any questions.
