Postby TuscoTodd » Wed Mar 11, 2015 7:47 am

The big box of P-BOP cars have arrived in Ohio - and if all goes well, will be run through qualifying tonight(!) on the 144' road course at Mark's Model World! Both Slot Therapist and I are DEFINITELY looking forward to taking this field for a spin tonight! :banana-dance:
More to follow after qualifying!

HRW Nascars were still being run as the VNFR cars and HO proxy cars showed up, and before we could knock those out - the P-BOP cars arrived! It has been a LOT of fun! :D
Hopefully, with actually be in town this weekend, I will be able post a BUNCH of updates! :D

Great pics, Todd, and thanks for the qualifying. I realize you were under the gun to get your T-Bird and Caddy finished for the PanAm. It is good to see all these proxies moving along.

Looking forward to the races.

Cheers,

Keith - we did get the racing action squeezed in there this week too! :banana-dance:
I just have to get all the driver notes, pictures, etc sorted out and will be posting an update on that soon! :D

Speaking of racing - due to the differences in tracks, would you guys like to see these run on the 69 foot banked tri-ovall while they are here in Ohio as wel?
(we'd be happy to run them - just let us know!) :)

Oh and BTW Bob - your front end repairs held fine. :)

Yes definitely, run them on the oval as well. My cars always seem to like that oval, and since they are doing well in this proxy, they might even win on the oval, eh?

It took a bit to get things compiled - but here are the racing results for the 144 foot road course!

We had five of us participating in the racing portion - covering five lanes of fun!
Our drivers were:
Red Lane - myself
White Lane - APalmer
Green Lane - local racer Alex Curlutu
Orange Lane - Slot Therapist
Blue Lane - local racer Mike Dolanski

To say these cars were a lot of fun would be an understatement!
The personalities varied GREATLY - but the racing was surprisingly tight! With the majority of the field being separated by only five laps and a number of positions finishing within segments of one another!
Definitely a LOT of fun!
:text-bravo:

So without further ado - here is how things shook out!

Slot Therapist and I are taking the field to the track tonight to run them on the banked oval as well!
Should be a great time!

Pictures and driving impressions from the racing to follow! :D

Great job guys. I have up-dated the leaderboard, and if you look at the last column you will see what changes took place. A few changes here and there. I assume that Harry's topless sedan has gone home for repairs. Harry, it would be great if you can catch up to the rest at Strangebrew's or my place. There is still a lot of racing to go, and i would love to be able to run one of your cars, even if it is a 40 Ford chop top convertible. Also feel free to send something completely different if you can.

This version of the leaderboard won't be correct for long as you guys have probably already run the oval. I'll up-date again when I get those results.

Thanks for posting this.
