Good to see. I like these cars. Little tuning and they are a lot of fun on the old lumber.
Thanks for the updates.

SCC Canada just confirmed their offering of this (ref. no. FW50101AV) which could be the first Slotwing/Avant Slot collaboration.
The guide, leads, motor and pinion are Avant items. My research shows the blue Magmotor's rated at 25K.
Even more to like.

Thanks Dan.
It's important to note that there are now two versions of those cars on the market. The only difference in the part number is the addition of the AV after the FW50101 model number (there's also the FW50102). Bodies are exactly the same.
As you can see in the picture I sent to Dan, the mechanical parts are mostly from AvantSlot now, with a stronger motor. I haven't run the car on the track (it's brand new in the box and I didn't want to mess with it before selling the car) but the gear mesh between the brass pinion and the plastic spur gear feels like it could be better. Maybe just a little adjustment will take care of that.
I was kind of hoping for a motor pod when the AvantSlot/FlySlot was announced. Maybe that will come later.

Hhmm, that looks suspiciously like SCC front axle blocks on the picture! Are the rear wheels still the original plastic wheels Christian?
Cheers

Just to clarify - SCC (U.S.) is offering the "AV" versions only.

i just got one, stripped it down and replaced everything except motor and front axle assembly.to fit the new scc bushings the motor needed to be ground down with my Dremel on both ends.slot.it large hubs and c1 tires fit nice.stock wheels were very warped.its a nice runner now.
