Area 51 24 Hour Group C Race this weekend

Looking forward to this weekend's Area 51 Group C 24 hour race in Storrs Ct.

The Cloverleaf Racing team is leaving on Thursday morning and we are loading up the racing van with enough equipment to handle any problems that seem to come our way...We have our Porsches Lancias and Nissians finely tuned (well maybe) and stacks of Quick Slicks thanks to Almafan55....

We're hoping to live stream at least some of the race. If we can't get the live streaming running, we'll shoot video and post after-the-fact. We'll start a post for the event as well so virtual HRW "spectators" can follow the event, ask questions, etc.

Hard to figure out who to root for in this one, but since I always root for the underdog (which is usually me) I guess I'll root for Cloverleaf. But then again I like a winner so maybe I'll root for Slot Car Corner.

Now I'm confused. :lol:

Here's the Shoreline Model Raceways entry. Just one car and two sets of tires this year. Since the winning team never changed tires last year (Quick Slicks), I'm hoping we won't have to change tires.



The Piranha motor continues to impress me. Nice and smooth and surprisingly quick.

Butch Slot car Corner does not have a dog in this fight. The SCC team is on three different teams. If we could just have a little luck maybe we could have a better showing this year. We had a great car last year then the motor dropped a winding on the com and it went down hill from there.
