Ha, ha! Thanks for the kudos guys. Shooting under overhead fluorescent lights isn't ideal, but it would be a royal pita to bring studio lighting into such tight quarters.

Yes nice cars their. Is that Carrera BMW and Corvette cr6' I have both of them. I love your guard rail. Having the cable go though the blocks looks Killer. I bet it was hard to do also. Very real looking. Great job.

Hi Bob. Actually, that is a Scaley Corvette and a Scaley Aston Martin. I thought threading the cord through so many blocks would be a chore too, but it was actually quite easy. I over-drilled the size of the holes slightly, then wrapped a small bit of masking tape on the leading edge of the cord, lined the blocks up on my workbench side by side, threaded them there and then brought the whole thing to the track where the blocks were inserted into holes drilled into the mdf. After inserting the blocks I filled the voids surrounding the blocks with wood glue, then landscaped over it with Woodland Scenics flock. Simple!

Steve - looks great! I really love the cable fence along the track BTW. Lee and I were just discussing it today and how great it looks.

Thanks Dave! It's been a long time since I've been online. I haven't left slots but us SCANCs weren't racing much since last fall when a new track we built suffered water damage from a leaking roof. I don't think I ever posted pictures of SlotZuka, but I'm fixing to do that now. Stay tuned.

Edit: That track is here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=14564&p=172184#p172184

Just came back to this post after several years and noticed many of the links to the photographs I had posted were broken. In an attempt to replace the broken links I realized many of the original photos are either lost or I just plain don't remember which ones they were, so I added photos as best I could to revive the essence of the original thread. One day soon I will take some photos of the track as it is today. The biggest changes have been to the equipment in the stables.
