So I made a diorama

Postby buspor63 » Mon Feb 11, 2019 8:57 pm

I've been wanting a place to take pictures of my cars for awhile now. It's not so easy to use my track for that because it tilts up against the wall.
This was really simple. I took a scrap piece of 1/2'' MDF and just painted a race track on it. It has two slots routed for the guide, 1/32 and 1/24, so each scale has the tires close to the rumble strips.

I always thought it needed a backdrop. I channeled some Bob Ross and painted some happy little trees to try for some depth.

That's a neat idea!

As I currently don't have a track in my basement, I'm thinking I need to do one myself... ;)

I like the addition of the background!
(you can never have too many "happy little trees") :D

Great idea. Powering the base is brilliant, really adds to the realism.
