I currently have two tracks. Sunset Ridge Raceway is a four lane routed track that was built in the fall of 2010. Sadly I will start the destruction of it in the next few weeks, but hope to save some of the sections and tables for it's new home. My new home has a 24'x 24' loft above the garage and I will start the construction of the new track in the spring. I also have about a 97' driveway, so a 1/32 dragstrip could be in the future too.

Tri 55 Speedway is a four lane routed Tri oval that I build last year. It uses Trackmate Timing and comes apart in six sections.

Shame to see that track go.
I'm maybe 4 or 5 hours from where you are now.
Someday I'd like to run some of my junk on that beautiful round-d-rounder
if your move isn't too far away & you put it back up.

I watched the videos of you building your road course. I enjoyed them very much. It's a shame to see them go, but you'll probably enjoy your next one just as much.

The "main track" Mrs. and I run a race nearly every night for relaxation.
80ft,
3 lanes
UR 3.0 timing
Out of the case Carrera is 8.5 second lap Chris has a 7.6 track record with a well used Slot-it 956

Where it all began back in 2007 :o

45' Carrera plastic and particle board routed.
very fun track that lots of guests have enjoyed.

If we get a hankering for some digital this track is available....

A nice little Carrera digital track that we built portable to carry around to various events.
If you keep changing lanes you stay in the fast lane, good for Digital demonstrations.

Torn down right after MCR Magazine did a wonderful article on it.

Dave I really like your Riverside copy. It looks like it is fun to drive and not too technical. I've always thought that was a pretty good track layout to copy for slot cars.

Quail Ridge Speedway

My friend Radarek and his son. Radarek is smirking because he thinks he has a Group 5 car faster than mine. :D

A different angle during a race day. Yes the track moves in my garage on castors, plus it easily tilts away.

Really nice job with the video, racer. I hope this thread keeps going - I'm loving see everyone's track layouts. Great job everyone. My layouts still on the floor, I'm embarrassed to admit.

It's a compacted configuration of Luf's long departed "upstairs Targa", my favorite of his many track builds. The elevation changes are what I really like about the track that afford a different driving dimension that's not found in most tracks.

It's quite bare looking but as I've been telling Luf for ten years now, "I'll be getting to the landscaping soon!".

It's all good.

Dan

Looks great. Did you use MDF ? How thick and what is the depth of the slot ? TY

@bobbyraz49

It's been a decade but I recall the track's made from 3/8" MDF with flex in mind and a slot depth of 5/8". As Junior said something to screw the track down into something certainly helps securing things and that's what the box structure of 2 x 4's under the hill does.

Here are some links to Luf's upstairs Targa track and revamp (with videos) that this was patterned after.

That was a great track.

This has me confused....

Here is my track Hagadalington Raceway. MDF track, 1,2 x 4,8 meters (4' x 16' i guess?). It was built by a friend of mine and when he had to move he sold it to me :text-thankyouyellow: . You can see the building process on a Swedish forum; http://www.bilbaneforumet.se/viewtopic. ... d8c4b2ea62
I'm using a homebuilt adjustable powerunit and Carsteen handcontrollers.
