Your amazing work explains why I don't have any building on my road course. Building them to scale would take up so much room, that I didn't allow for when trying to make maximum use of table top space for the track itself.

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the entire layout when these buildings are in place.

Randy - in a world where every track of yours that you've posted, I've said "DANG!" - this one trumps all of those. Simply SPECTACULAR my friend! Astonishing work!!!

Slothead - that is why I always say "less is more". Build in some scenery considerations when building a track.

Thanks David. I think that once I get this properly finished (signs/spectators) that it will really "come alive". The problem with such a large structure is that it really needs "detail" or otherwise it looks naked & empty. I'm trying to find smoked or dark tinted glass for the windows in the press complex on the top floor because that will help eliminate the need to detail the interior of that part of the building.

Got some flat white spray paint on the Press Tower Complex. It will give it a little "tooth" for when I age & weather it. The main thing I wanted to show here is how it breaks down for maintenance & the construction process. In the end very few of these sub-assemblies will actually get glued together.

A simple way to smoke perspex is to lite up a oxe acetone torch turn off oxygen and you will get a lot of black smoke as smoke raises well away heat move perspex around flat to smoke the smoke will stick to it . more smoke darker it will get try lightly rub with rag for disierd affect.

Making a bit more progress on the press tower/grandstand complex. Here is the very top floor. I still need to add at least rudimentary detail to the inside of the press/control room & antennas & satellite dishes to the roof.

Very well done. But, you might need to have a medics station nearby - bright red can cause seizures in some people. Not sure if this applies to plastic spectators though, so perhaps it's not an issue.

What became of the Route 66 track? Were you able to find a buyer for it?

I still have the Route 66 layout. If I don't sell it soon I'll dismantle it & part it out.
