New Track

Postby indybob009 » Wed Mar 22, 2017 6:42 am

Well this is our newest track. 4 lane Carrera 22ft by 5ft. Just got the lanes wired. Much to do. Having birthday party in 2 weeks for out youngest grandson who loves slots. Well all our grandsons and son love slots. Its been since last fall since we had a track. I missed it also. It was fun to crank out some laps. I will post more pics as time permits. Have to hook up Tackmate this weekin. I have a old Windows 98 computer I am going to try and use. Thanks

That looks awesome! You weren't kidding about the color. Did you use Behr paint?

Thanks guys' I been using parts and wood scraps from old tracks to save money' I only had to buy 1 sheet of OSB and a few 1by4's. The green grass and red look pretty bad. The red panels were from my 6 lane tri oval. Have to paint it black or gray I guess. Thanks

Thanks. Yes I always like a long straight but some turns also. It been fun so far. So far Carrera stock GT type cars are in the 4.7 sec lap times. Formula 1 cars down in the 4.2 sec. I have not tried my slot-it modified cars yet' I assume they will be in the 3.8 sec range.

Really envy the space you have to have those long stretches of straight aways!!

My cars never have a chance to really go full bore.

Looks like a lot of fun times await you and your family!!

Yes I have a nice room but I wish it was bigger. Wider that is. But I know I am spoiled. For Josh s' I used Porter Paint' Advantage 900' it sticks to anything.
