Big River Raceway

It seems we get inspired looking at others tracks and inspire the owners of other tracks, so is is my Carrera Digital 1:32. It is in its second configuration. Started out as the DTM set and then I bought all of the digital accessories bringing it to what you see now. Image
The original box, cars, and configuration.

I have a few decorations. The fence at the moment is to keep the cars on the table as concrete hurts.
My next reconfiguration should be the last and the 8x16 foot table will be hanging from the ceiling. Right now the table is 8x12.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like you have some decent space to work with. Digital racing has really opened up the possibilities of plastic track, where you can get 6 cars running on only two lanes. If you care to , once you paint it and add some scenery it makes a really good looking slotcar layout. Since I have come back to slot car racing, I see that scenery and buildings are beginning to find a lot of favor now, turning slot car tracks into model raceways. The track plan you have would be very good for scenic possibilities with a good infield for track structures.

I have a website on scenery techniques I put together years ago for my model railroad. I made all my track borders using the scenic foam that is described in the "Asphalt Road" It works really well and is pliable to bend easily around any corner. Stuff is really inexpensive as well

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Hey, could be time to tune up all these digital cars now.

Looks like a fun track to me.
