I started with Eldon in 1966 and have been given a bit of it from time to time.
Never thought it was of great value, but I've got a soft spot for it.

Last week was very cold and snowy so there was a little extra time on our hands. We found this stuff is great for 1/43 scale "GO" cars.

If I keep this up we'll have 5 different tracks available to run on.
Frog Hollow,Little King,Ovaltime,Penner's Digital and now Mr. Eldon.

Got my first Eldon set in 1961. Kept racing Eldon with upgrades until I went to college in 71. We (brother) and I did have a few 1/24 for the 2 commercial tracks that have since been long gone in the Nashville area. With the re-birth of slots there was one in Madison that closed about 3 yrs ago now. Mostly drag racing however.

Looking good.

Thanks for commenting guys.

Eldon gets a lot of knocks, but a think a lot of us got introduced to slot cars because of the brand.

I think those Eldon tracks are good also, I just semi-retired mine a couple of years ago after building a wooden track. The only problem I had was getting on it when the Grand-Kids came by. So I made a three lane and that was solve temporarily. No I have more three more Grand-Kids and I am the designated car fetcher and place the cars back on the track.

Hey, man... ELDON is definitely at least two things -- cool and fun!
I'll bet you're having a blast with those 1/43 road burners on that oval -- banked turn, lane changers and all!
Have fun... Ernie :>)

Yeah Eldon was cool. Had their own monthly mag called Pit Pass. Gave a lot of good tips on tuning, track scenery and history of the various cars and drivers. My last set was the lighted Selectronic set. Race two cars on the same lane, passing. When I rejoined slotting I was surprised this wasn't a feature until just recently with the introduction of digital sets.
