I added more detail to the first batch of tool boxes & built another stack of them, this time ones that are a little larger.

I made some more progress on the tool boxes. First I added some color & then painted the wheels (black). Next I gave them a light black wash to create a bit of shadow. Next I added graphics and tools. Team Ferrari is done, on to the others later in the week. Questions?

Starting to detail the garages. At this point I consider the detail level at about half of what I want it to be in the end.

I did some more detailing in the pits, added the fueling rigs and detailed the "officials" area in the center of the complex. The figures I used in these shots will be replaced by ones that are custom painted & have had their cheesey bases removed. I'm also going to cut slots in the pit road and garages so the guides of the cars drop into them so they will set flat.

Did a bit more detailing in the luxury suites. I still need to add small stuff & replace the figures with better ones but I'm getting there.

Detailed the luxury suites a bit more & added the flags. I designed the pit complex to be modular so I could take it to the workbench.

I added more signs to the grandstands. I still have the pit signs to do ("Porsche 20" etc) and I want to redo the flags because I'm not 100% happy with them but I'm getting closer.

I was finally able to do a little more work on the layout. I scratch built this out of foamcore & construction paper. The windows are 1/48th scale parts from Tichy Trains. Notice how I cut the building off at an angle to fit the space I had. By "chopping" a building off it gives the viewer the impression that layout & scenery continues on past the edge of the layout.
