"Dire Straights raceway"

My new SSD track is taking shape. after countless hours of rearranging track sections, I found a design that gives me full usage of my table, without crowding. There is plenty of speed, and lots of driving on this one. All scenery will be plug in, so maintenance is less of an issue. I have ordered the USB connector, and the RSC64 program. this will be the most realistic slot car experience possible, with pit stops, re fueling, damage, and weather conditions to hinder racing on each car. Currently I have the power reduced through the control box to give a more realistic racing speed, and to cut down on the carnage from 6 cars running at once. I will be converting my vintage cars one series at a time, so as not to break the bank! Plans call for at least six of each series, from vintage F1 to 60's sports, and I want to do my can am cars as well. That's a lot of chips to buy! Hence the track name "Dire straights" raceway. I will be in the poorhouse by the time I get all this done! This is what I have as of today. I will add more pics as it gets rolling.

Getting a big kick out of this. I need to watch you a little better!

Remember, that "Roadkill App" is still needed.

you are going to love that rsc64. that is the same one i use. start out with the fuel burn only and work your way up to running the full sim on a race, Wish you were out in my neck of the woods. I would love to rub some fenders with you.I have smart sensore that i need to install but I have to up date my windows system to a new version since they will not work with xp...
I have also found that in to out clc will give you a faster corner speed. if you swap the one out at the end of the main straight you find you will get a faster lap. I have three in my set up along with 5 of the straight lc. I do belive i still have pics of my track parkside on here.

I really think you might find it easier to marshal if the curvy sections were on the outside.

Probably would be easier. I just didn't want them there.

Great to see some digital stuff here.
You are going to love it. Just a thought with the lane changers at high speed,( the cross over on the straight.)I assume you are running this anti clock wise. They some times are a bit problematic with the guides hitting the LC as it changes position. Might pay to bring it back to the corner exit a little. Time will tell though. If run mags and your motors are not 18k you may need Slot.it chips. Have fun.
