Carrera autonomous car vs old Scalextric Challenger

Carrera autonomous car vs old Scalextrix Challenger.

My old Carrera Pro-X set had the ability to program a "ghost" car feature, but it ran too slowly to be much of a challenge.

The Scalextrix Challenger robot car for analog track was a system that learned your track and remembered where it deslotted and adjusted it's speed.
Tuned right it was pretty fast and really was a "challenge".

Has the Carrera autonomous car improved beyond the ghost car level, or does it just run at a single programmed speed?

And thanks everyone - sorry to monopolize the forum...

The Carrera "Ghost Car" Runs at what ever single speed you program it to run at.They do change lanes though. What we did with the ghost cars were to run heavy magnet Ghost cars against our lightly magnet or no mag cars..

When running 2 user controlled cars, most find it very challenging to get by the ghost car if you have lots of lane changers, because the ghost car lane changing is random, it's a roll of the dice to pass on a lance change section.
