My first scratch digital built car

Postby martin0409 » Mon Nov 28, 2016 10:00 pm

After I fixed my track ( beautify, i may say :D ) I bought my self a digital chip and see if I can build a car with it that will run well just like an out of the box Carrera digital car. Well, the build came out good, car weight is considerably less than a carrera stock car and runs well with or without magnet. Car has no light yet but will follow a bit later. Tires, wheels, gears and flag guides are Artin spare parts. Motor came from Xmod car, stage 3 30K rpm. Chassis is custom laser cut from 18ga aluminum. Body is from Walmart. Hope to do 4 more of this in the coming days when the chips and motors I ordered will arrive. Thank you for viewing.

Martin

Yes - the chassis is very clever.

Body is from Walmart? I got to check this out. Are there others available?

And your track looks awesome.

Nice job on the car. With that motor and those button magnets, this car must be ballistic.

Walmart bodies? These are plastic and not diecast? What name are these packaged under. Are they Fast and Furious branded or something?.

I will have to check this out as well.

Cheers

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, the body is plastic and very light in weight. The body comes from a remote control chassis sold at Walmart here in Canada (I don't know there in the USA). I bought these together with a 2007 Ford mustang red in color and has white stripes too, and another one which I can not remember what make it was (I'll check when I get home from work). The price in here was $11.99 CND and I bought it sometime this year.

Thanks,
Martin

Nice job. I assume it is 1/32 scale.
