Ferrari 250 SWB

Today I had time to take some pictures of my recent Scratchbuilt Ferrari 250 Digital Slot car. Fitting the D132 decoders is quite simple in these sidewinder chassis's. I cheated on the taillights and just went with a single LED for each brake light. I was going to file one LED into a couple of points and try to stay true to the prototypical arrangement, but I felt when it was all said and done it might not have been worth the effort. I think I would have ended up with tailights that weren't very bright or easy to see.

The 250SWB is one of my favorite cars, and I am glad I have it running on my 143 digital track.

Today I also added borders to the outside curves, so now I can run 132 cars as well. Previously I could only run 132 on the inside lane, but now both lanes are good to go. They can only get by each other on the D132 straight so it will make for some interesting racing.
