Digital and Analog

Is it possible to run digital and analog on the same track ? Could you just change transformers and not turn on the digital controller, and use analog hand controllers? Sorry for dumb questions. Wally

I think that Scalextric has the easiest set up for running both analogue and digital if you have the advanced 6 car power base (APB). The APB has an analogue mode built in. It even allows ghost cars, timing and lap counting in analogue. Here is a video which explains it.

I do it on my routed D1XX track, but then pretty much everything is custom.
