How were you able to do so many ghost cars simultaneously?

A track like that w/b my ideal track. The best of both worlds!

The video was made using the cars entered in the proxy and was not intended to represent how they were raced. Carrera allows you as many ghost cars as you want. That sounds great in theory, but is not really practical without using a anti collision chip on each lane changer. Another problem with too many ghost cars is that can "freight train" until they crash. Possibly more of a problem on a wood track like mine versus a magnet track though. Mr Flippant came up with a way to keep cars apart using magnets and reed switches in the bumpers of cars. When the following car approached the leader, the magnet in the lead car tripped the reed switch, momentarily interrupting power to the following car. I can see the next track I build having of those features and some dedicated ghost cars.

Edited, swapped term hall switch for reed switch, two different things.
