The Interstate Home Slot Racing Club's (IHSR) season continues on Saturday, 11/17 at a member's home in Chambersburg, PA. The layout is a beautiful 4 lane routed wood track.

All interested in a fun day of 1/32 scale slot car racing are invited. We do run four classes, and stick to the rules in terms of what is allowed to run in any given class. We always have loaners available for guys coming to check us out.

Rules and schedule can be found at: interstatehomeslotracingclub.yuku.com

email me for more info at tlbrace2008@yahoo.com

Race day starts with host opening his him around 8 am for practice/tuning/bench racing. The first of four classes starts at 10 am. After running two classes, we break for pizza lunch and more bench racing, then finish up the afternoon with the last two classes. Depending on interest and time, a fifth class might be run: an IROC class at host's discretion. With an average of 12 to 15 racers so far this season, folks are usually on their way home by 3:30 pm or so.

In a nutshell, our classes are:
1. Pre-1963 sports cars. Must be scale. Tire width limit of 8mm contact patch. No magnets (in any class). Rubber or urethane tires (no silicones in any class). 14.7 k rpm motor limit, NO slim cans. Chassis can be stock or scratch built. Please check the specific site for additional details.
2. Carrera GT. Any of the current Carrera GT cars. Pull magnets. OEM or Urethane tires (no silicones) on stock wheels. Must bypass the chip or laps likely won't count on the RMS. Can add weight to taste. Otherwise a stock car.
3. SlotIt Lemans/LMP class. Must be a SlotIt/LMP/Lemans car, magnet removed, weight added to taste, standard slotit motor. MUST run ScaleAuto sponges: your choice of 07, 08, or 09 softness. Otherwise stock.
4. Open 1963+ sports car. Sports cars 1963 through 1997. No magnets. No motor limit, run whatever tires you want (except silicones). There are actually two classes within the class.

The above is just to give you an idea of what we run, please refer specifically to the rules because we do tech inspect each class. If you show and wish to run your own cars in any/all classes, they will need to meet the criteria for the respective classes. But again, don't let not having cars deter you. Come on out, you'll not find a better bunch of guys to slot race with.
