BIG weekend for IHSR in the Mid Atlantic!
Posted: Wed Oct 18, 2017 5:42 amInterstate Home Slot Racers (IHSR) has a big weekend coming up on Saturday, 10/21 and Sunday, 10/22.
1. Saturday, 10/21: The second race day in our 2017/2018 season. This one will be on a member's home track in Charles Town, WVA. This is a 4 lane, routed MONSTER track, the largest in our club. You have to race on it to believe it. As always, race day starts around 8 am for practice/bench racing/tech inspection, etc. First of four classes run at 10 am. After running the second class, we break for lunch, then run the last two races. Everyone is usually on the way home by 3 or 3:30. Info on classes (and our schedule) can be found at interstatehomeslotracingclub.yuku.com. We always have class legal loaners for folks giving us a try.
2. Sunday, 10/22. IHSR will have a track set up at the White Marsh Slot Car Show, in White Marsh, MD. A rare, THREE lane true 1/24 scale Scalextric layout, we will run an IROC race for show attendees/non IHSR members. Up to 12 people can sign up. The top three finishes get to 'claim' one of the new Carrera GT cars being used...PROVIDED they show up at the next IHSR event two weeks later!!! (file this under the thread on building club membership).
