Last night marked the debut of Shoreline Model Raceways new TransAm IROC class.
The cars were donated by club members and prepared by Smokeio. Pete did several bodies. For the first race there were five cars available, a sixth car will be on hand for the next race. Last night three of the cars started in the first heat and those stayed with the drivers as they rotated to their next lane at the end of the heat. At the start of the next heat a new car was rotated in along with a new driver. All of the cars had very similar performances when they were tested at Wayne's World, but they were somewhat different at Ivorywood. The racing was close, but not quite as close as expected. In the future we probably will pick the cars to be raced based on practice lap times and have them stay with their lanes with only the drivers rotating.
