Guidelines of classes - as this is an Open House and mostly for fun, we're not "enforcing" these guidelines (much). Just putting these here so you can get an idea of what we'll be running.
Guidelines for Shoreline Nascar
Modern NASCAR sedans from Scalextric, SCX or Carrera
Lightweight interior may be used, should have three dimensional drivers head
Stock 18,000 rpm motors in Scalextric and Carrera, SCX uses 42B
Minimum weight 3.20 oz.
Maximum width 2.505, tires may protrude from body to this dimension.
Front axle adjusters may be added
Guidelines for 1/32 Sportsman
1st, check out the HRW guidelines
Harry requires brass chassis. I'm opening it up to plastic as well.
Any scratchbuilt or manufactured brass or plastic chassis allowed. Podded chassis shall have pods screwed tight (no float allowed). Brass scratchbuilds shall be of "solid" design (no flexi design)
As per HRW guidelines - Inline drive trains only.
Ground clearance is 1/16" (.0625") or higher. This includes chassis and body.
Piranha motors only. Gearing is open. I recommend 3:1 or higher ratio - it's a short track.
*** Update-after a bit of tuning, I found 9/30 gearing to work well. 8/27 would be close to the same ratio. Might even try 8/30
Minimum weight is 4.0 oz (yep, make 'em heavy)
Guidelines for 1/32 Street Stock - a good spot for your TransAm cars that you don't run
Use body guidelines as HRW Sportsman. May also run modern style Mustang, Camaro, Cuda etc. Open to other suggestions...
Open to any non podded manufactured plastic chassis. Must keep stock drive train configuration.
Max wheel size is standard 15x8. All 4 wheels shall be of same size.
Max tire size is 21mm tall, and 10mm wide (contact patch). Paul Gage 21105 is perfect for 15x8 wheel. All tires to be of same size.
Ground clearance is 1/16" (.0625") or higher. This includes chassis and body.
MT1, MT-SL1, NC1 or other similar motors allowed (no BWA or Jack Rabbits). Ask about other motors. May run cars on dyno to compare speed at rear wheels...
Gearing is open.
Max width (outside to outside of tires) is 2.4" - Fenders may be hogged out to achieve max width, tire sidewalls may not be sanded
No offsetting of drive train, body or tires.
Minimum weight is 3.5 oz.
1/25 Jalopy Guidelines
Must use H&R Hawk 18k motor
May use brass scratchbuilt or manufactured (can be modified) chassis, but must be solid type (no flexi type chassis)
Must use inline drive setup

Maximum width is 3"-outside to outside of wheels/tires
Carrera Sports car
