Racing? We HAVE RACING!!!

Thursday night at Mount Pleasant Raceway was quite a night of racing! Running the sort of ever semi-popular always kind of fun AMT home built racing chassis with 1/24 model bodies that most people seem to run Olds 442s on. Whew. Don't ask me to say that again.
Or even to explain that.
Meanwhile back at the track. Tonight's racers...

There is our field of combatants. Yes, that is the correct word... As you all will see.

And we have a green and the race is on! All four racers dive into the first turn, four racers wide! Plenty of action into turn two as Bob pulls slightly ahead! The racers roar out three and it is hard racing into turn four! Disaster strikes in turn four!




But these AMT cars are nothing if not durable, and the racing continues until we have a winner.

And that winner is:

Chase, driving the heck out of his minty Olds 442! :auto-checkeredflag:


It is rumored that Chase's car is powered by a Subaru turbo engine. But Chase will not confirm or deny that...

Second place: Jesse driving his Pontiac GTO!


Third place: Scott driving his 1957 Chevy Bel Air

3rd place Scott with 111 laps
4th place Lovette with 101 laps
5th place Tom with 100 laps
6th place Bob with 95 laps

I forgot to mention that part way through the race Bob had an issue with his 1967 Nova and when he re-installed the body he did not notice that he put it on backwards. That looked really odd going around the track... And made marshaling interesting as well.

Great reporting as usual Scott. Great racing too I only beat you by 3 sections and Chases aerodynamics with no windshield or any glass.

Man those amt's certainly are fun I think there was some hey left in the cars that were taken from the barn and I could have used some horses instead of the hey (horsepower)

Just take all the glass out. It helps on weight and areo. It worked for chase. :dance:
